Dear sir or madam,

Before getting my Master of Nursing Science (Pre-registration) from The Chines University of Hong Kong (CUHK). I worked in commercial fields for years and graduated from The University of Adelaide with Bachelor’s Degree of Commerce.

I worked as a Temporary Undergraduate Nursing Student in Bradbury Hospice during my study in CUHK. I constantly provided nursing care, such as wound dressing, stoma care, to patients and care education to patients and their families. I have also learnt more than just taking vital signs and carrying out bedside care for patients during my clinical practicum. For examples, in Accident and Emergency unit and outpatient unit, I learnt and frequently carried out intramuscular injections, ECG monitoring and wound dressings for patients. Patient educations on drugs adherence, controls and monitoring of diets, diabetes and hypertension were carried out during Community Nursing Services under the supervision of community nurses. I was also given the opportunities to carry out case management of 2-3 patients during shifts in my last clinical practicum block that I had to make the judgements to prioritize treatments, nursing care and corresponding administrative works on my own.

Besides, I believe my experienced gained in commercial field allowed me to care and welcome patients professionally. While excellent interpersonal and trilingual communication skills allowed me to carry out my client management duties; I was well-organised in order to provide full administrative supports to various teams and maintain records. For example, during my tenure in Mergermarket, I ensured the smooth delivery of quarterly advisory league tables with accurate information in Asia-Pacific by collaborating with global teams and ensuring Asia-Pacific teams were in full compliance with the standard submission procedure. The advisors with multi-cultural backgrounds often replied with compliments on the manner I handled their queries (e.g. confidentiality and procedural issues) and complaints (e.g. database and rankings on advisory league tables). They also appreciated my constructive suggestions on improving communication and work flows and my efficient problem-solving skills.

As an outgoing person with strong adaptability together with my experience in both commercial and nursing fields, I am confident that I will be competent for the applied position. Please do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail ( ) or at +852 6978 3585 for further discussion. In case I am unable to take your call, please leave me a voice message. I will return your call as soon as possible. Thank you.

Best regards,
Terre Choi
Dear Sir or Madam:

As an enthusiastic MPharm graduate and pre-registration pharmacist at the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, I would like to express my interest in furthering my career in the field of science and healthcare. I would very much appreciate the opportunity to be involved with teams with mutual goals.
I believe that my qualities and experience make me an appropriate candidate for the position. In addition to my strong work ethic and diligent, dedicated character, my global exposure to healthcare in Hong Kong, America and the UK has given me with valuable and transferable skills. My experience in primary and secondary care has fine-tuned my interpersonal, communication and consultation skills, allowing me to build good working relationships with service users and team members alike. My involvement in a government-funded smoking cessation project increased my understanding of how team-based planning of high quality patient-centred care can enhance compliance. Most important to me personally was learning to pay close attention to detail regardless of surrounding pressures. In order to be able to independently dispense at the hospital trust where I trained, I was required to pass an assessment that involved dispensing 150 items and checking 500 items consecutively without a single error. This taught me to work independently, clearly focus my attention and achieve my goals without fail.

Being involved in procurement at two community pharmacies has taught me the essence of health economics. In the process of responding to urgent requests and ensuring the availability of required stock levels, I learned the real importance of cost-effectiveness. My specialist ward-based rotations across medical and surgical wards at the County hospital involved being proactive in highlighting and resolving clinical issues such as interactions, contraindications, dosing errors or issues regarding the patients' responses to treatment. My continual professional development, involvement in treating minor ailments over the counter and attendance at various conferences and training events have all enhanced my ability to perform as a healthcare professional and to provide holistic and inclusive care. Further details are provided in my attached CV.
I am especially interested in working in a professional environment that will allow for me to gain experience in a setting that provides service users with accessible and exceptional services. I look forward to take on new challenges and broaden my knowledge alongside the team.

Thank you for considering my application. If you have any further enquiries or require any further documentation, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,
Yeshmita Buxani
